How often should you/do check your oil level?

My manual says, check oil level "every month". Should have titled thread differently, my concern is oil usage in my truck. Didn't see an option to edit thread title. If that's what your manual says, then I guess they changed the frequency for the 14's.

I assume you put correct amount in originally? Some do not realize how much these trucks take on an oil change. Another thing is letting the oil settle to get a correct reading.
