Definitely worth it. Biggest pluses for me were the instant throttle response and improved shift strategy. The trans no longer tries to get to 6th gear as quick as possible and down shifts a lot quicker when you hit the gas like when passing someone. Have had mine for a little over a year, 16k miles.

When I totaled my red 03 I gave the insurance company 18K worth of mod receipts.

When I sold my white 03 I figured I had about 30K in mods. That 30K includes 3 sets of rims and 4 sets of tires, 2 stereo systems and 2 motors.

My current 13 I'd said I currently 5-6K!

This is fun, I'll have to show my wife, she keeps asking if I'm done!

Tight budget so everything is sourced used and spruced when necessary
Bed liner - 160
Bed extender - 40
Bedexender bolts - 20
DeeZee tailgate easy down - 40
Factory box steps - 100
Hardware for steps - 25
Extang solid fold - 400
Stripe kit - 15

Total so far $800

Still to get, fender flares, leds for the box
power windows from a donor truck, winter tires and wheels

30k in the 5.0 stroker motor, ask go-on3 what go fast parts cost....

I'll help you.....

Built transmission3k
torque convertor 1k
drive shaft 1k
built rear end 3k
rear suspension 2k
Wilwood brakes 4k
custom interior 3k
Fiberglass hood 2k
1 off carbon fiber stuff - lots -o-$$
1 off custom parts, more lots -o- $$$
Gauges, audio, fuel system, exhaust and lots of other custom stuff not even added in.

This is a 500+ rwhp car that can be driven to California and not break down, and, there aren't 6 on every corner, like a Camaro, Mustang, Charger/Challenger etc.

It adds up quick, it's not a truck that I was adding some lights, steps and a cap to, it's sole purpose is/was to embarrass expensive exotics, it was a success....
