I'm wondering if they're a good quality tire, and if I did ok on costs.


I picked up a set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. LT275/65R18 123/120R ... Load Range 'E'.


Other than the little bit of research I did thru Google, I have no idea about truck tires. In the end, I went with the recommendation from the Ford Dealer's Tire guy. I initially inquired about Dura Tracks, but he said he had a great deal on these BFG tires ... retailing at $2200 installed, but sold them to me for $1550 installed.


Sooo, did I get hosed? or was this a decent set of tires for a decent price?

based on the amount of research you did, you did OK are these the KO2? You probably could have saved a few bucks, but nothing huge either.

they are quite heavy tires though (56 vs 39 lbs for stock), unless you do a lot of towing, a Load E tire is overkill and your mileage will probably suffer a bit... they were on my list but I decided to go with a dedicated winter tire instead...

I'd like to hear how they work on snow / ice once we get some!

Definitely snow-rate "M+S Traction". I was wondering about the Load rating, but the Wrangler DuraTracs were also Load Rating 'E' ... which was the ones I was going to buy.

I don't think that the cost is too high. Market price as usual as far as I know.

Sounds about average for Canadian prices. I'm in Edmonton and got my set of 275/60/20 ko2s for 1300 after a small discount at my preffered tire shop. I shopped around and it was the lowest I could get. Most shops quoted me 1400 to 1600 otd. I was happy with 1300 otd. Almost anxious for some snow now to test them out. Very good reviews for the updated ko2s!!

I had those on my previous truck and they were great. I believe that these BF have the winter (snowflake) designation since last year.
