Default How does my dealer know...

How does my dealer know my mileage within 200 miles? What is my truck sending out when its connected to my phone that I'm unaware of?
I haven't been in to the dealer in the last 3 months, 2k miles and i received an email that almost nailed my current mileage, this is the second time in 6 months. my driving habits are not predictable so its not like they just tack on 1k miles every month. 1k miles this week, 150 the next, 300 last week, etc.

Your dealership is run by Santa. He knows when you've been sleeping. Lol

It really is just a computer program designed to send you an e-mail when it thinks it's getting close. It just uses an average from the past to make an educated guess.

I'm completely fine w/ that. I know sync has a diagnostics option it can ran so I didn't know if it just ran every x amount of miles. Similar to the OnStar app i had in my last truck, that was an invasive POS.

You ever run your Vehicle Health Report? It's in there and if you are registered on Sync's website and your dealer is chosen on that site, it can update them too.

I think it was a lucky guess. Sometimes coincidences are just coincidences.

I got an email saying I needed my 3K service on my new truck.

What service do I need at 3k?

I disregarded.
