Your best bet then, would be to find the chime speaker and reroute it to a switch. Turn it off when you need to, back on when you actually need the chimes and turn signal click click noise.
Also, if you keep the engine running, the door ajar chime will not go off.

I used to do that, then I accidentally discovered the 1hr mode on the Radio. Now, I just take the key out of the ignition, leave the door open and press the radio power button. Radio comes on and voila, tunes, no chime for one whole hour and no more broken pens (I kept forgetting to take the pen out)
If I need more then an hour, I just go back in and press the power button again.

1) take key out of ignition, radio will still be on
2) open door, radio will go off
3) with the door still open hit the radio On/Off button, Radio should come back on.
OR
1) Open door from outside
2) With the door still open hit the radio On/Off button, Radio should come on
This also works with the door closed.
I have a 2013 with the 4.2" display and it works every time.

Looks like the speaker is soldered unto the instrument cluster board, so it might be tough to get to it. If you are looking for a switch, you might want to go with the second trad, but instead of removing the connector, you can splice an on/off switch onto it.
The easiest solution so far is what Rnlcomp suggested, pen on the door latch.
