How do I replace Turn Signal Arm Assembly?
I have a 2011 F150 XLT and as of yesterday the turn signal will not stop in one direction. I am wondering if the arm assembly is broken now, or is there a pin on steering column that has broken that is suppose to dis-engage the arm? The left blinker runs continuously unless I hold up the arm, but the right blinker does not work. I have the arm strapped with a bungee cord to keep the blinker off.
I made an appointment with the dealer for Monday morning, but I would rather replace the assembly myself if I can find some guidance on r&r. I sure dont want to set off the airbag!
I am searching threads for info but I have not found much.
Thanks,
JP

Looks like you need a multifunction switch replaced, find them on e-bay or amazon. There are how to video's on youtube for replacing. Hope this helps.

Thanks!
Sure looks easy enough to do and will save me time and money not having to use the dealer. Thanks a lot for the help!
The only other electrical issue I have had with this truck was the hvac blend door actuator failing and I replaced it myself a year or two ago.
I probably should get the Haynes manual now that I have about 70K miles on the truck.
