I'll go with 12/12/12 cause it's easy to remember.

I can't remember were I found the link to that website... May have been on a Mustang or Focus Forum, but, the thread had talked about how certain documents were generated at different times during the "birth" of a vehicle... The Window Sticker and Door Jam generated and dated days before "actual build of vehicle".... Not Saying its True just what I read and may explain the date inconsistencies everyone is seeing.... The Site lists it as "Primary Feature" , I would think this would be marriage of chassis and body...??? Maybe someone can confirm....

My Door Jam: 1/11
Window Sticker: 01/19/11
Site: 02/02/11

Click on Vehicle Tab and enter VIN...
This format is Day-Month-Year

My door jam sticker says 1/11, This page shows "Primary Feature Build Date" as 2/2/11....

Hope this helps.

Weird ...... Looking at the build list.... it shows

less elec locking rear

But I know it has it..... everything else looked accurate...

Dealer told me my build date was 10/1/09
Website given above says 01/10/09 (day-month-year)
Window sticker says 9/24/09 exactly one week before above date

Both dates given were Fridays, oh no!

I've never bought into the theory of the "built on Monday/Friday." Probably because the quote came from a fictional book back in 1971. My only problem vehicles were built on a Tuesday and Wednesday(96 Isuzu, and 02 S-10) My current problem free '10, and my last problem free '04 were both built on Mondays. And your vehicle isn't built in one day. I mean God forbid it gets started on Friday and finished on Monday!

The date on the window sticker is not always accurate. It may be a couple days one way or the other. There should have been a build sheet with the vehicle when you bought it. That's the right date. Mine was built one day before the date on the window sticker.

I don't buy into it either, I just like to joke about it.

As someone who builds vehicles for Toyota. I can assure you the old "dont buy a vehicle built on Monday or Friday" is just a myth. They give you a number to build to the smoother and more productive you are the quicker you leave. There really isnt a way to cut corners, if you dont shoot enough bolts... the line will stop, if you strip a bolt when it gets checked by the lasers...the line stop... if you forget a bolt or a weld...the line will stop. Having seen it first hand Monday and Friday might be my preferred build days haha.
