How do I find the exact build date?

You can also look on the VIN tag in the driver's door jam it will give the build date gross weight and so on. I think it even says were it was build right there to. Most of the time it will just have a date somewhere on it like 06/12

I looked up mine on the Ford Etis link and it showed my trucks build date as 20.5.2012 so I know that means 20th day of May 2012. My question is how is that possible since that was a Sunday?

According to the Etis link my truck was made 6-11-15. My window sticker says 10-29-15 production date. There are also several discrepancies in the "minor features list" for example, less electronic locking axle (it has it), with hd trailer towing pkg (afaik. It doesn't have the hd tow just regular tow pkg) are 2 that stand out. And what is "human machine interface 5", it apparently has that.
I wonder if it was originally to be built as a '15 model and ended up being built as a '16 model and spec?

hi all,
You can pass VIN number to this link: https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do
You can know all information and built date of your car.

Build date of 07/22/2013 and mines a 2013 obviously, I bought it used though, so I don't know if it sat on the lot or not.

Your local Ford store should be able to tell you the in-service date. From that you'll be able to figure out how long it sat on the lot.

The date is ETIS is not necessarily the correct build date though it could be correct. The build date is on the top(and bottom of reprinted) of your window sticker. It will be in the format similar to this 220131211. Meaning December 11, 2013. I'm not sure if the first number is always a 2 for a F-150.
