I need to find out how to disassemble the mirrors to remove the cap and have them re-painted to match my truck.

Anyone know how to get these caps off? Any help will be appreciated.

I just did this the other night to install my LED blinkers. its really pretty easy. just be careful dont manhandle anything.

the hardest part is getting the glass of the mirror. you have to be very carefull and make sure you dont pop it off and then drop it, cuz the wires connected to the glass will not hold against the weight of the mirror.

Is it the same process taking the glass mirror out on a Tow Mirror? I want to paint my caps.

I have the chrome cap on the Tow Mirrors. I would swap them for the "black" plastic ones. Would be much easier than painting and much flashier. Interested in a swap?
