Fool proof plan the convince your wife to do anything you want:

Don't get one. Any other option is futile.

Just sounds like you like to be judgmental. How the eff do you know their husbands paid for anything they have? Stop being so damn judgmental, it's not going to do anything for you. Worry about yourself.

I just got my new truck in april and took my running boards off a few weeks ago. I'm 6'6 so I never used them anyway, as I can easily just step into the cab.

It didn't even cross my mind as I was taking them off though as to how my gf would feel (she's only 5'1) until we were heading to my nephews baseball game and took her several tries to hoist herself up in, as I sat there laughing my *** off. (Note: this is with a 6" lift and 35s)

Needless to say, they went back on that evening. She said she didn't care if I had them or not when I asked her, but I felt bad after watching her try to get in and didn't want her to have to go through that every time we went somewhere, even though it was hilarious

I'm 6'1 and I never use mine either, just hop right in and out without my foot ever touching the board.

Could be that I'm OCD about keeping my truck clean and don't want boot prints on my clean running boards

seannh, That is not a nice thing to say...SMH. Then when you polish it on purpose with the intent of her falling down, and she slips and injure herself, break a bone or even end up in the hospital, then you will be feeling bad, and you being her spouse will also be the one at home tending to her and the injuries you caused.

Who cares what your wife thinks, more importantly, what does your girlfriend want?
