Can anyone post a video and or images of there HID's in use? I'm wondering how well this lights up the road at night? Thanks

Here is a low beam shot. Fyi these are 50 watt not the oem 35. The slight bent in the road is about 120 feet away

You swapped out the OEM projectors for FXR? How did you mount them, was it difficult?

A little trimming to get them centered in the bezels and some jb kwik weld putty and your set.

So are you saying the stock HID's are not as good as expected. I want something that when I'm driving in the mountains I can see deer from a mile away. Safety first...

The HID's on the Ram 1500 are crazy good and I mean crazy good...

I have some on my GTS and TL-S like the below that are good as well, they seem to be some type of gas light, I think they are Xenons, as they are not bright right away, but when they warm up they light up the entire world and kinda look purple-ish. Plus on the GTS you can adjust them from the inside of the car, standard OEM stuff, but really cool.

The oem hid's work great! I added them to my truck as the halogens suck, can't see crap at night. From what I understand the after market or retrofits (if done right) are better but not by a large margin.

This is great to see a master tech here and thanks for letting me know about the HID's. I'm on the fence with an 14 or a 16 some 16's are the same price as 14's now.

Depending on the dealer condition and miles. But honestly I like the look and feel on the 14 just a little bit more, including the back seat. On the 16 the have that stupid cup holder in the center and well trying going for a ride in the middle for 8 hours, ouch man. Which we do plan to use...

I did the OEM swap on my '11 and my gosh, the 1,500 mile trek I did was partially driven up until midnight and I was just blown away by how far the beams projected, with the high beam blasting out at least a klick from all the reflections and illuminated objects I could see on the seemingly freshly laid asphalt 4-lane highway.

I was using Morimoto XB 5500K bulbs.

So I definitely recommend both the OEM housings and the Morimoto bulbs.

I haven't read anything yet comparing the new LED's on the 15+ versus the HID's on the 13/14. I'm sure lots of people have...
I have read tho, that the halogen headlights on the new body are far better than the previous 09-14 halogen headlights were.

For me, driving with the factory HID's in my 14, there's no going back to a standard halogen setup now...Not happening!

So I'm in the market for a 14 FX4 fully loaded from all ends, they have HID's from the factory in the model I'm searching for, so then you are saying just replace the bulbs with these?

Thanks
