Default HID head lamp upgrade?

Just recently purchased a 2014 F-150 XLT and was wondering if I was possible to upgrade the standard head lamps to the HID lamps I saw on lariat or fx4 editions. Please recommend a website that I could purchase OEM HID lights and if it's possible to easily replace my standard ones

Thank you

Others will chime in to confirm OEM parts needed but suspect it would be very spendy compared to factory equipped. For example, HID option cost was $595/507 retail/invoice (included in 402A pkg)...

As said, it would've been cheaper to have got them as an upgrade on your truck, but I understand maybe it wasn't an option as you bought it off the lot and they didn't have any xlt's with HID's. I'd suggest you look on EBay or even the 2009+ for sale section on this forum and guys are putting them up for sale fairly regularly, both black and chrome. :-) Congrats on the new ride!

To get them in a 14 xlt you had to go with the leather seats.

LOL, I spent $1,300 on oem hid's when they were first available. Worth every dime!!

Ability to see at night is a must have no option for me. My day begins @ 4am.

"Have to," "no choice," "and no option" are not in my vocabulary. You don't have to do anything. Do it because you want to. You always have a choice. I am willing to drive with less light and keep the money. There are always options. You don't even need to breath if you are willing to die.

Are you sure you get HID in a XLT when you order it with leather. I just ordered one in beginning of July with leather and I don't think it comes with hid

When I bought mine in February I was told that was the only way to get hid. They might have changed it since then.
2014 was the first year to get leather in a xlt
