HID in ANZO U-bar headlights

I know that has happened with original Morimoto Minis and 55 watt kits. HID in a halogen projector may look to be an improvement but it may lack some foreground lighting, it may have extra lighting artifacts above cutoff, etc. It will never be near as good as running HID bulbs and ballasts in a HID projector.
the only melting issues seem to be a Chad mentioned, putting 55w HIDS into small housings.
The issue with the Morimoto minis was the 55w HIDS were heating the chrome coating to the point it would seperate from the reflector bowl.

I partially melted the factory fog lights on my TA with a HID kit.

Chinese junk will do that. Any non-OEM HID has some Chinese component(s) and you run the risk of frying something. And if they don't, they'll still never work properly.

Look man, I'm not stupid. My truck came with factory HIDs and I still switched to something else. Believe it or not it is possible for something that's not OEM to look good and perform well. I judge my headlights based on how well I can see when I am sitting behind the wheel without blinding anyone.
