Default Decked out

I currently have one that I built from wood. I haul tools, Tow ropes, jumper cables, extension cords, gun cases, etc.... Haul Snowblowers and mowers on top of it during each different season.

Your product sure looks way better than mine!!!Help Us Test a DECKED Truck Bed Storage System?-img_20150801_181155212_hdr.jpg

I have a 2010 XLT with a 5'6 bed.

I believe the DECKED storage system can fulfill my desire for a secure means of storing my equipment. I have been trying to save up for some form of a secure bed cover so I can keep my tools and equipment protected from the weather and in the bed vs inside my cab. I need something that can keep my equipment hidden from prying eyes and protected from theft and the weather. Not having a garage means transferring everything back and forth from my truck cabin at night to the bed during the day(Over time has just become leaving everything inside the cab)

I would use the DECKED storage in a few ways:
-Everyday storage of my tools and equipment
-Hunting/Camping storage
-Equipment storage while hauling items in the bed and not having to utilize my cab

@DECKED Thank you for the opportunity you are offering to the forum!

I have actually been looking at your product before. Being in Colorado we spend lots of time in in the mountains and outdoors. I would use this for waterfowl hunting, snowboarding, camping in the summer. Being able to use my bed as a tent and sleeping on top of my gear would be awesome for some of those early morning hunts in the duck blind.

The thing I like best about this new storage system is that I get the best of both worlds. I can store items dry and out of sight, and still have the functionality to load my four wheeler or anything else on top. Looks like a product I would use everyday.

I pull a gooseneck trailer at times, so I'm not sure I want one. But my wife is thinking about switching from an SUV to a pickup. This might be perfect for her, but my big question:

Does it keep dirt out? That's a huge concern for me.

I actually stumbled across this video over the weekend, posted somewhere here I believe, and I think you have a million dollar idea. The wife and I just bought a small 24' trailer, on a lot - with an added solarium - so my bed is currently full of "cottage" stuff, tools, straps, chains, tarps and just about anything else I might need on the side of the road in a pinch.

I have a Ford branded tonneau to keep it all dry and secure, but what I don't have is use of my bed. I hate cleaning it out to haul lumber, firewood, or patio furniture because it all ends up in my back seat for three days.

I can't get a picture of my box right now because it's dark, but I'll post something tomorrow.

The only two things I'd like to know are:

  1. Can I dump a ton of 3/4" crushed rock or limestone screenings on this thing? I have some landscaping to do in the spring
  2. What is the rated strength of those tie down rings in that nifty little track on top?

Kind of makes me wish I was hauling supplies and stuff around, but that was years ago and now the mostly use my truck for the daily drive to and from work.

Default dream come true

this would be a dream come true - i am veteran who now works at a womans prison. I also am a volunteer volleyball coach and on the evenings i am not doing that i volunteer to assist other vets with household chores. i usually leave work and go right to one of these activities so the back of the truck has multiple different types of material in the back (volleyball equipment and household maintenance supplies). I have seen this fantastic product before and wished i could afford it to simplify my storage issues. It would be my pleasure to try and review your product. 2011 ford f150 supercrew - 6.5 box - i would require #DF3 - thank you in advance for this possible opportunity - thanks for supporting F150 forum.

I'm interested. 2012 short bed. I am a first responder and carry plenty of gear in my truck. I have a cover that leaks so I keep several waterproof containers in my bed. I also work several extra jobs before and after normal work. It would be nice to keep my rifle in a dry secure place other than in the cab of my truck. On my off time I love to camp and fish. This storage system would be perfect for organizing everything.

If not selected I'd put a vote in for doanster. Seems like he does a lot for other people and got to love a Vet.
