I just installed 20" Black Rhino Sidewinders on LT275/65/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers with a Zone 2" Level. After driving roughly 300 miles, I've heard this noise on 2 of my short trips. It's a intermittent sound coming from the driver side wheel. Check out this short video... Thanks

Your not the first one to have this issue ....
Try a search on the forums here .... If I remember correct ... Its possibly a bolt or two not tightened on upper part above the coils ..... it happens May or may not be the problem ...Good luck with it

Iwe, independent wheel actuator. Actuated by the rubber hose vacuum line that probably got damaged or popped off. Click your truck in to 4x4 and I bet the noise stops. Then tuck head behind wheel and look at that hose. It's the soft one that just sticks into the nipple behind the hub.

stronger800 I have yet to get it fixed, since I have a 2nd vehicle I take to work. But I have narrowed it down to IWE I think. I heard the noise last week and once I turned on the 4x4 the noise stopped. What is a fair price for a mechanic to fix this issue?

It's not a bad job to replace the whole thing but it's most likely that you just have a loose hose, or a broken one. It's really that simple. Hard plastic line up by the upper control arm turns to rubber and then that rubber just slides onto the nipple on the back of the hub. Very easy to pop that hose loose on accident while installing the lift. Turn wheel, pop your head behind there, flashlight, look for a damaged line. When the have a tiny leak they can not keep vacuume on the iwe, and it tries to engage, when it shouldn't. Depending on how long you've driven it with it grinding away, it should be fine. Put it in 4wd if you have to drive it to a shop.
