Default Help! Lost remote fob, how to unlink the lost one?

Hi all!

I've been lurking around for a while since I bought my 2010 FX4 couple months ago. I finally ran into a problem that I cannot find a solution for.

I just lost my remote fob today and haven't been able to find it. I drive my truck to work so am concerned someone could've picked it up and get access to my truck.

I know we can find a replacement fob and reprogram it easily, but I wasn't able to find out if there's anyway to remove access of the old fob.

Please let me know if you can find something about that!

Thanks!

When you replace the one you lost and program the new one it requires that you do all the fobs you have at that time so the one you lost will be disabled then.

Thank you for the prompt response! I was starting to worry about it. Now if I can only head home and get it done immediately

If you have MY luck, you'll no sooner get the new ones programmed and then you'll find the old one.

to be on the safe side, I would take it to the dealer to make sure it is deleted.
