I picked up my F150 Larait with the factory remote start on Monday. The settings for the remote start were set as when you would start the vehicle with the remote start and then open the door the vehicle would shut off. I tried to change the setting as per a prior post. NOW the remote start will not work, the remote start gos through the its checks and then stops and the horn honks three times and NO doors are open.

Ya, good reply but what does that all mean.

I would love to change my default setting so the pickup won't shut off but have not found anyone that can tell me how to do it!!

those are the programs that you can change and that's the setting it needs to be. led on its set on led off its off so when you went into programing it beep 3 times then pushed it again and it honked 4 times then you can toggle through the settings by pressing the brake so i brake press 1 honk program 1then you can turn it off and on by pushing the remote button.led on or led off.push program button again and it will honk 5 times then push brake to go to the program you want to change.i didint put the #7 shut down in there because ford wants it left on. hint hint.

Well I took my 2 day old truck back to the dealership and ask them to reprogram the remote start. The service guy tells me that they have no one on site to fix alarms/remote starts and that I would have to come back on Friday when the outside vender would be there. I brought the truck in on Friday and ask the dealer if they can have the outside vender program the remote start so the truck continues to run after the door is opened. They tell me that they can't. So I said just fix it!! 5 hours later the dealer calls me at home and asks ME if this is a Ford remote start or did I do any wiring on the truck. I told them that of course its a Ford remote start, I ordered it from the FACTORY and that I only had the truck for two days and that I never had a chance to do any wiring to the truck. The dealer states that they have never seen a Ford factory remote start . After 8 hours at the dealership the remote start was reprogramed but with the factory settings, the truck shuts down when the door opens............this SUCKS!!!!!!!!
