Hello all, i bought my f150 2010 used. it had 160k miles. dealership installed new jasper motor in it. i have a few issues with non motor issues. My back up camera doesnt seem to come on when i put it in reverse, it seems it is a factory stock camera with the navigation kit. also when going on longer drives ( 50 miles plus) i get a break like that comes on. as if the parking break is on. i can pull over turn off the truck and turn it back on and it all goes away for another 30-50 miles. any ideas? thank you all for your time. aside from all those small issues, i love the truck.

Disconnect battery and reset. Give it 100 miles to see if ok, if not ok take it back to dealer. Call the dealer, first thought.

will do. thank you. do these stock radios have security code? after i reset? how long would you say i disconnect the battery for?

Radio does not have a code. Unplug for 5-10 minutes whatever.

Look thru the manual and check the fuse also; the fuse may have popped if it still malfunctions.

i checked at the harness right before the camera plugs in, and there is power on the gray cable. does anyone know of a way to splice a slandered camera cable to plug it in to see if the problem is the camera or the connection where else?

If this will help ? Hot is #1 down to 3 and back up to 6 on the other side of the plug. 6 is ground to the front fender #3 screw, check ground continuity ? Look for OBD body code with tester.
