There should be warranty on it, take it to the dealer.

It is my belief that if the problem is inside the seat, it has to be a warranty problem unless you have disassembled the seat for some reason. If the dealer is truly customer satisfaction oriented, they will take care of the problem. You should take it in before the warranty expires!

I bought a 2009 Lariat and the driver's seat heater only worked intermittently. The dealer service department found it to be a broken/damaged wire inside the seat and fixed it as a part of the purchase contract.

I work for one of the few companies that build the Heated/ Cooled seats components. If this is a Heat Only seat, look under the seat as best you can. There will be a 4 way connector, check that it is connected. It would be best to take back to the dealer since this is brand new, something is definitely wrong. If you have problems with the dealer, just let me know and I can walk you through in more detail.

This is the same thing mine did. Sometimes it would stay on depending on what position the seat was in (forward/backward etc).

That's exactly what mine did, I took it to the dealer and he replaced the heating element blower, now works great.

Took a week to get the part in, but covered under warranty.
