Default Headlight removal

I'm trying to change the headlights on my 2012 XLT. Does the harness just pull out from the bulb or does it unclip somewhere? I can't seem to get it disconnected. Thanks in advance!

On my 2010, they turn and pull out of the housing. Then the bulbs pull out of the plugin.

Got them out of the housing just fine. I just can't get them unplugged from connector. I'm afraid it will snap if I force it

Fords are sticky sometimes, try pushing it in tighter then push tab and pull. If that doesnt work use a small flat head screw driver and go from the opposite end of the push tab and lightly push it up.

Ridiculously tight. Just be rough on them

Okay just so I'm clear there is no clip or anything I need to release before pulling the bulb out?

to remove from housing twist the 2 ears counterclockwise about a 1/4 turn then they will come out of housing. To remove the bulb from wiring put a small flat tip under the lock tab and pry up slightly then pull.

^This. If you actually push the bulb holder IN against the wiring harness end piece this will relieve the friction between the two parts. Then depress the tab and pull firmly.
