Default Hats off to my F-150

So I took a chance and bought my 2010 F-150 with a 3.55 regular axle, since I could not find a regular cab with a 3.55 limited slip and was too poor to cough up more dough on my down payment for a 4X4. Snowed like buckets and thought I would be getting stuck on my way to work. Decided to load down the bed with 6 sandbags and shoveled the driveway snow into the bed of the truck as well. Drove to work this morning with no issues whatsoever. In fact, the parking lot was full of snow (approx 10 inches, with ice) and even managed to pull someone out who was stuck. I was in total shock that I didn't get stuck myself.

As summer rolls around, I will keep an eye out for a wrecked 2009+ F-150 so I can scoop up a limited slip axle. I bet the 4X4 guys are having a blast with their F-150's.

Be careful out there and enjoy the snow.

Agreed, I love my FX4, but 99% of the time snow or mud I dont need the 4x4. Even towing in the freezing rain and never needed the 4x4.

Some places i use my 4x4 too much. I have went on back roads covered with ice & snow that I wouldn't take my Subaru. But there are other places in 2wd it'll go that surprises me.
