Default Has anyone Towed with an Ecoboost with an after-market intake or exhaust

Just wanted to hear from anyone who has installed an after-market intake or exhaust and has towed with it since.

Reading through the many posts I have seen the last few months there only looks to be the *** dyno with skeptical results. I say skeptical because I think the engine is that powerful that the small gains are hard to tell but I figure towing could be a good indicator.

I took the muffler out and went with a piece of pipe in its place. Nice sound when running empty, no noticable power gain. Far too loud when towing 8000lbs, and once again no noticable gain. Going back to stock muffler, and awaiting an intake that I think merits spending $300+ on.

A loud muffler can be annoying to passenger's when you are towing at higher rpm's with the OD off. Of couse some people will like it!
