I just bought my 2011 ecoboost f150 about a month ago. The day after I bought it the service advancetrac warning came on. After talking with my dealer and them not willing to help whatsoever (local used car dealer) and 2 trips to ford, a $1500 steering rack was the fix. It's only been 500-600 miles but it hasn't come back.

I thought that too, but I believe it is the bad steering angle sensor. The turn signals won't work in that instance either. When I go to the "truck apps" section on my main screen, the pitch and roll angle is working, but the steering angle does not display during a turn. It's going into the dealer Monday. Hopefully they can definitively root cause it and fix it. I'll let you know what they come up with.
I have been having this fault issue for the last year but last week it started doing it every day. Today I set the info screen to truck apps and drove to work. Sure enough the steering angle changed as I turn the wheel until I made a left turn and the angle froze at 2 degrees. continued driving to work through at least two 90 degree turns and the angle never changed from 2 degrees. Got a video of the angle never changed as the truck was turning or going straight. When I went out to lunch the fault went off and the steering angle starting changing again as I turned the steering wheel. Have an appointment with the local Ford dealer on Monday for them to look at. This will be the third time they have seen it for this 'fault' but the first time I had a video to support the issue. I will also bring a copy of this post to show the service folks this has happened to others and what was done to eliminate it.
Big thanks to swhetstine for sharing his information about his repair.

That's exactly what was happening with mine. The steering angle meter on the dash would be locked at a random degree and I would have to manually hold the turn signals to keep them on. I turned the truck on and off about 3 times for it to clear on the dash but ford was able to pull the code in their diagnostics. I'm not sure if it's true or not but they told me after so many key cycle (turning truck on and off) if the code doesn't persist it would clear from the history and they won't be able to see it. I have no idea if there is any truth to this but it may explain why they haven't caught it in the past.

This is true. If it isn't a hard code, one that happens 100% of the time, then after so many key cycles it will be cleared from the KAM. This causes a lot of issues with diagnostics since by the time you get the truck in for them to look at it, the problem has gone away and no codes are set.
The Service Department mantra, no codes, no problems, See YA!

Well, now my windshield washer fluid will not flow. I believe it is the new turn signal switch that was installed. When you push the button, nothing happens. Of course I am taking an 8 hour road trip tomorrow and can't take it back to the dealer for another week. I'll let you know what they say about this one........

Mine did the same thing with the turn signal stick, wouldn't stay on or spray. I got the service message when I articulated the rear wheels on the truck or lost traction. Took it to the dealer today, for that and the rear defrost issue, and they reflashed my ABS unit. Cost $195 flat rate 1.5hrs, but its gone and I also have in writing that if it comes back they'll troubleshoot and replace the sensors for free. The rest would be covered under my extended warranty.

OK. Here are the codes that they wrote on my service report:
U0121, C1963, U3000, U0422, CB100 - STEERING ANGLE SENSOR FAULT.
They replaced the steering gear assembly. Part was $815.38, Labor was $217.50. They also replaced the turn signal switch ($41.38 part). This switch is getting replaced again tomorrow because of the windshield fluid not flowing issue stated in my previous post.
I hope this matches up with some other reports on this issue.

This is on par with what I had done. Only yours was about $500 cheaper. My part was close to $1200 and the labor was about the same only they claimed I received a credit for approx $300 for a misdiagnosis on the same problem. I questioned them about the credit and they assured me it was there. Now seeing your bill I'm not 100% sure they did credit me.
