Service AdvanceTrac
I am experiencing this "service advancetrac" error frequently with my 2012 Ecoboost. Dealer in Barrie says it pops up due to real sharp turns, which doesn't make sense. With less than 100k my Ecoboost needed a new timing chain (warranty), at 104k a new compressor for airco (1500 cad) and now I still have this service advancetrac popping up, what a joke.
My signals work during this error, however I have to manually hold the lever up or push it down to make a safe turn with signals.
Either way so far this 2012 Ecoboost has had too many issues, down time, frustration and lack of overtaking power/engine response.
I am working with an other Ford dealer in town to trade it in for a new F150 but back to the V8.
I hope people with this service advancetrac error get all sorted out as it is an irritating thing to have while driving.
Good luck.

Just popped up on my 2012 Platinum with 47k miles today. Was hoping by the time I got to the end of this thread someone would have found some more definitive fixes for it
Sounds like the dealers still don't know how to properly diagnose/fix this problem, and I'm not going to pay for a dealer to play a guessing game at my expense, so I guess I'll have to deal with the error coming on.

service advance track
My code came on when I backed my travel trailer into camp sites. After un hooking and shutting of engine the light stayed off. Took it into dealer today they replaced the power steering rack. Bill was covered under extended warranty cost me 100 bucks hope it doesn't happen again 4700 miles on a 2011 fx4 supercab

Service Advancetrac Light
My 2012 Supercrew just started doing it this morning. I was on the way into work and going around a curve that required me to apply the brakes as I was entering it. All of a sudden the wheel tried to turn out of my hands and the truck did not want to turn. I wrestled with it and was able to turn. The light came on at the same time and never went out. A few miles later the exact same thing happened with the steering. When I get off work I am going to see if hopefully the light has gone out. I have 85k on the truck and have had hardly any issues thus far (other than my turn signals flashing fast like a bulb is out when it isn't, still trying to figure that one out.)
Did somebody say that they correlated this to an issue with the high beams? This past weekend I installed a set of off road lights on my bumper and tied them into the high beams. But I can't see the steering being tied into the head lights; and if it was an issue I would imagine the problem starting sooner. I had put 20-30 miles on the truck since doing the lights before the Advancetrac light came on.

I just got done going through all of this...
I would get the AdvanceTrac popup and the signal light had to manually held on (down/up) to function. Its caused by (on mine, at least) by a bad sensor on the Power Steering Control Module ("PSCM") which (I think) is on the lower steering assembly. It was pretty intermittent but the tech was able to get it to happen during his testing.
The steering assembly/PSCM (EL3z 3504 BE) was replaced and a front-end alignment is required to be done too. Takes 2-3 hours. So far, so good...

2014 F150 SuperCrew with a 5.0 and 20K miles.
Started the truck this am and got the service advance trac warning. Steering is out as it does not want to turn or fights you to turn.
Tow truck on the way.
We'll see how it goes.
Edit: I turned off the truck and the problem went away.
As hard as it was to try and turn the steering wheel, I let the tow truck bring it to the shop. Crossing two bridges and morning traffic seemed too risky to have it happen again.
