Harley & Limited Tow Rating
Why is the tow rating so much lower for the Harley and Limited? They have the 6.2, tow package, and trailer brake controller. Only differences I see are the 22" wheels and the "sport-tuned" suspension, whatever that means.

Sorry work phone rang and bumped send. No tire with a rim size of 22" or bigger as a good weight rating. I think it really sucks that ford put this rims on these trucks. I guy on here bought a Harley and didn't find out till he got home with his new truck that had have the weight rating.

Something still doesn't add up. Here's my door jamb sticker. GAWR and GVWR seem right in line with other non-max tow 2011s, as listed in this thread from another forum:

So if it's not the GAWR and GVWR (which take into account wheels, tires, shocks, springs, etc.), what is limiting the GCWR? I'm still losing 1,600-2,000 lbs of GCWR compared to a similar 5.0 or EB. Brakes maybe? Seems unlikely.

We know the drive train can handle the weight but I think the sport suspension is the problem. I don't think its a heavy duty suspension like on regular F150's. The tires could be the other part of it. They are extra load tires but only at 50psi--2469 pound weight rating per tire. Factory recomends 35psi wich lowers the weight rating of the tires. I have no idea what the weight rating is at 35psi....

The AWD system is a smart system and only sends power to the front wheels when needed. As a daily driver I drive in 2wd. I don't use AWD or 4hi unless its snowing.
