Default Group Buy: Recon Smoked L.E.D. Side Mirror Lenses

I have been interesed in getting rid of the ugly amber lense that is not functional on my F-150 and have considered some DIY'ers which for the cost seems to be the way to go however it can be time consuming and I am not the most talented when it comes to modifying things. With that being said I know Recon has come out recently with the Recon Smoked or Clear L.E.D. side mirror lenses that are plug and play. See link:
http://www.gorecon.com/product.php?p...Lenses&p_cat=6

I made contact with Recon today and asked them if they would be willing to work with the price of the lenses which are currently priced at $109.95 if I were to get a group to buy. So I am looking for anyone interested in order these lenses from them. I would need approximately 15 orders in order for them to drop the price. I currently do not own anyhing recon, however with all the forums on here that I have read they seem to be high quality and reputable company. I would like to get this group buy put together by January 4th depending how popular this gets. Depending how many people I get the cheaper it could go. Rough quote would be $92-95 per set. Please pm or reply to this thread if your interested. I will try to answer any questions that I can.

Good luck with the group buy, hopefully it works out for those interested!

I have never been a fan on Recon's stuff, but I love the idea behind the product. 15 seems a bit steep for a group buy? I am not in on very many group buys though, so that may be normal.

Make them yourself unless another company makes them for more of what they are worth. Even at 95 a set with the lack of quality or cust service from recon its still way overpriced. If your not handy with a slight modification no problem ask a friend who is. My cost was approx $30 total to smoke and light those markers. Easiest thing I have done in years. With all the threads on here about this mod I have faith that almost anyone could do this and get better quality than recon and their china made junk!

Just get a $10 can of night shade and do it yourself. Save yourself the hundred some odd dollars. If you want the blinkers its pretty much the same amount of work, coming from no blinkers you have to wire everything up, so the led strips from autozone will do the same thing and save you so much money.

I just recieved these for Christmas in smoke. I would give them an 8 out of 10. Drivers side is a little loose and doesnt fit snug against the mirror. Passenger side fits great. Though I did get the smoked version I thought they would be a little brighter. It has been cloudy since I installed them but I think in the sun you will not be able to see them flashing. So I guess it all depends on what you want. Also they didnt come with instructions nor is there instructions on their website that I could find. I already knew how to install them but I still think they should atleast tell you which wires to tap in to.

I Agree!!

Not much of a savings.....15.00
Im sure if you went to a custom truck parts place, and asked to get there wholesale on these you would get a better Price.

I know with my Rigigd Lights I bought them cheaper then what Rigids site listed them for, by using Custom shop, and the more I bought the better Price I got ......so should work for what you want to do with Recon.....

Not to mention you have to be a registered forum vendor to run any type of group buy...
