I know, read the thread, but I was in a hurry (at work) and did not read what i typed before submitting, What I meant to type: not without relocating the airbag permanently and welding a bracket together to fit it onto the A pillar.

Instead of the asinine comment that I actually typed: not without removing the airbag permanently and welding a bracket onto the a pillar.

I do apologize for my mistake.

The thing is, its hard to search for a topic like this without having to go through every single thread in the results and spend a lot of time wading through a bunch of irrelevant stuff.
The op was hoping for a quick answer from someone viewing the thread who has the answer, and if he could've pulled it off, then sometimes that IS better than searching, especially if its a topic like this where its hard to know what key words you should use in a search. Also, as was mentioned earlier the forum search function is useless compared to google.

I use Google exclusively to search any forumn, their search tool is 1000x better than the built in one that usually return garbage.

Example google search:

Default Get a grip

Here's my solution to no grab handle on drivers A pillar: a strip of heavy duty Scotch Extreme clear velcro placed near the top inside of the A pillar trim cover. This velcro gives a tactile grip surface to grab onto with your finger tips, and does not crush or dislodge the plastic panel. It provides a solid, non-slip grip to balance yourself while stepping up with your left foot on the running board. I don't believe that I will have an air bag deployment as most all of my 195 lbs. is on the running board, and instead of grabbing the steering wheel for stabilization, I lightly grip/squeeze the top of the pillar. Works for me, and beats buying a 2015 model just to get a grab handle.
