Got a new Booty

It's not so much a matter of coming up with something new/different/better ... it's a matter of my feeling like I own the design since I came up with it, even if it is technically owned by the company who I was working for/with when I developed the design.
but yet, I agree ... as a designer, just keep the pencil sharp and come up with the next great thing ...

That is a completely valid point. However we don't know what agreement ADD had with its employees. I have worked for companies that require agreements signed before I could start working. They basically state that anything I design/Build while being paid by the company would be sole property of the company and I would be sued if I shared the design with competition or tired to compete myself. Sometimes it gets a bit extreme but they are paying you to design for the company and not your self.

That said, I was just expressing that as the one who may have come up with the design for the bumper ... and depending on how the company decided to split up ... that there may be a valid reason - even if only in the mind of the original designer - that they can/should be able to use that design on their own.
For all we know, there's no copyright type protection on the work they did together at ADD.
Honestly though, I don't care about the actual bumper, or whatever legal arrangements exist or don't exist between ADD and LEX. I just find these type situations interesting, and was throwing it out for thought so everyone could see there may very well be another legit side to the while split, and how may or may not really be a copycat ...

Yes IP belongs to the company that you were working for.
So why make a knock off, that's what I want to know. Why not just make original designs?

Regardless
Regardless of whether it is a copy or not I think it looks good OP and I agree with some of the other fellows here keep it white but do take off the lex panel. Post pics when you get the rest.

Why not just save the $$ and take a hole saw to your factory bumper?

First of all, I absolutely love the look of the stock FX4. Period.
However, it's not always about fashion. Sometimes it's function too. Me, I needed more lighting than stock. And a winch mount. And I wanted something a little tougher when bumping into things off road - it's gonna happen whether I want it too or not. I could have worked with the stock setup to make all of this happen, but I did like the look of the ADD venom front bumper, so that's what I ended up with. And I'm extremely happy with it. I have both function and looks IMO.
Now I'm thinking about adding the rear bumper, that's why I came upon this thread. I can say I'm not a fan of the looks, but there is the functionality of the bumper to consider, impact absorbing arguments aside.
It provides a place to mount lights, which is why I'm interested. With all the holes, I can think of other uses as well, mostly around providing tie down points or strapping things to the bumper.
Good to see all the opinions here. I know I have mine and provided them freely on things I think are ugly too
