Is this a good deal for a 2012 Lariat???
I'm about to get back into a Ford after many years away. I've got a deal on the table for a 2012 F150 Lariat 4x4 Crew with Ecoboost. The only options it doesn't have are the chrome and off road packages, but does have the aluminum 20" wheels and the 3.55 gears. Sticker is $49,730 and their best price is $41,730 plus TT&L.
Does this seem like a good deal or should I be able to squeeze a little more out of it? They are also giving me what I need to pay off my trade, which took an aggressive price on my 2009 GMC Z71.
Thanks for any advice!

Build the exact truck at edmunds.com or truecar.com. Look at what the invoice price is and then minus all incentives from that. Whatever that leaves you with is what I would be shooting for.

Are you eligible for X plan pricing?
X plan on that particular build (49,510 approx base MSRP) is around $45,130 (approx). X is about $200 over invoice.
IF you are trading (as you said), and you use FORD CREDIT to finance, there are about $5,775 in rebates.
So, that's down to around 39,355 (approximate).
Have NO idea if you've already figured your trade in there somewhere.
BUT, that's about the bottom line of what I'd offer for that truck!!! (before any trade negotiation).

Thanks for the replies. I owe $27K on my trade and that's right at its trade value according to KBB, so for them to pay it off I think is a fair deal. I've had to work pretty hard to get dealerships around that 27 mark.
I wasn't factoring any trade numbers into the price...they're giving me $8000 off the MSRP to get me to $41,730.
gregs, where you were able to find the $5775 in rebates? Edmunds only shows $1500 as available for the Lariat and ford.com shows none. According to the dealer there's a $1000 trade rebate that isn't available to Lariat, but I am able to get the $1000 Ford credit rebate.

The dealer was very up front and honest about the rebates that were applicable!
He had a incentive printout he showed me, and it did add up. The rebate document I signed detailed them, but the detail was not on the sales order, just as a lump sum.
NOT SURE why you would not be eligible for the trade-in assistance...That's another 1,000! ($1,000 Trade-In Assistance Bonus Cash (PGM #33948))
That said, I did get an XLT, so perhaps there are discounts included with that package that are NOT with a Lariat. I also made use of the A/Z/D/X plan pricing, there might have been extra discounts there.
when going onto the FORD INVENTIVES site, it does not list any specific incentives on the Lariat, just the general F150 series.
Here's what I got.
$1,500 Customer Cash
$1,000 Ford Credit Bonus Cash
$1,000 XLT Bonus Cash
$500 Bonus Cash
$1,000 Trade-In Assistance Bonus Cash
$750 XLT Convenience Chrome Cash
------------------------------------
So, that was $5750 (sorry, I quoted 5,775)
in addition to the 2,350 I saved from the X plan
Total off = 8,100.
Question, Is your specific vehicle you're looking at on the www.fordvehicles.com site using your zip code?
have you looked at the specific window sticker for your vehicle on there?
Are there any discounts on the sticker based off any "packages"?
I'd definately check on that trade-in discount. again, no reason you can't get that one.
GOOD LUCK in your negotiations!

AS I SAID, the discounts on the website are not always complete. And it also states, that a DEALER is your best source of up to date incentives. CLEARLY, if your dealer looks up the incentive information, you'll see more depending on the vehicle you chose! Make the dealer show you the incentive list based off your VIN!!!!!
Im fortunate I went to a good ole hometown honest dealer I guess!!!

I used the A/Z/X/D plan as well, the $750 coupon won't combine with those rebates.
there were some extra incentives that replaced the $750 coupon instead.
Ask your dealer to print you out an inventive sheet on the specific build you are looking for. Seems as the XLT builds had extra incentive dollars as well.
