Question Go from 18's to 17's?

I'm looking at some new rims for my 2012 F150 XTR they are real nice ballistic rims but they are 17" would there be any problem in downsizing from my 18" stock rims to 17's?

nope 17's come on most xlt's. might want to check and make sure your backspacing is around the same as the factory 17's though.

yeah the backspacing pushes the tires out or in towords to uca's. keep with the same as stock or get it to push outward more. i am not sure how to measure it. or even the right terms really. but whatever shop you are getting the rims from would be able to explain it.

Stock 17's are 7.5 inches wide with a 5.5 inch backspace...Raptor wheel's are 17's but with different specs. A 17x9 with a 5 inch backspace would stick out 2 inches more then stock...1.5 inches for wheel width and .5 inches for backspacing. I ran this size wheel on my '04 with 295x70x17 Toyo MT's and it looked great.
