Default Getting Flowmasters...straight out the back or out the rear sides???

Hey everone,

So i was quoted 330.00 for 1 in 2 out flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust. Now, the only thing i need to decided is rather to get the pipes coming straight out the back, or to the sides behind the rear wheel. I cant decided for the life of me...and i have to decide by Friday! So what do you guys/gals think?

And if you have pics of your exhaust setup, please please post.

Out the side at a slight angle. I don't like how they look coming out the back on the F150.

Default Out The Back

My vote would be for out the back.

Something to keep in mind if you are leaning towards in front of the rear wheel exit is over time it can discolour the wheel center and lead to premature corrosion of your wheels. Remember the “97” model year that had that set up? I worked at a dealership and there was a TSB issued for correcting the wheel centers discolouring and customers were getting new exhausts from the converter back that exited aft of the rear wheel. Good deal for them. I bet it was considered a mistake by Ford. I looked cool though.

I would vote for dumped out of sight behind the bumper(but far enough back so the exhaust clears it), otherwise I like how Joe_Cool's exhaust looks, even though I have dual tips in factory location and from a sound standpoint it doesnt make a difference in the cab...
