I currently have the nexus 7 mounted right above the radio on a tablet windshield mount and have no problems with the mount or visibility. The nexus 7 was just to small though.

I'm pulling the trigger on a xyboard 8.2 tablet and the Metra dash kit to make it look factory and free up some space. I will post picture as my progress begins.

I have already wired in a switched 12v plug into the passenger side fuse box and will have a small inverter so I can use the wall adapter to make sure the tablet receives enough power.

My goal is to have yellows built ford tough ecoboost start up animation and tasked profiles running.

I already have the OBD Bluetooth adapter.

Can't wait! Will post pics

Has anyone considered or already tried the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 in the metra kit? It has superior hardware than the rest and it looks like it would be a near perfect fit.

I put a Dell Venue 8 in my dash. Love the way it looks. They are just now getting to rooting it. I would save the extra money from a new tablet and get one little older. That means that it is already been rooted and you don't have to wait for someone to come up with it. What do you need the last speed for just some GPS and Music play. That is what I figured out.. But to each there own.

I have actually thought about taking the android out and getting the Venue Pro with windows. Would have to look up to make sure the camera I have will work with it.

Any one using an android for bluetooth audio And iphone for calls? I'm having a heck of a time. The dell venue 8 works great for bluetooth audio. But as soon as I connect my iphone I have troubles with the tablet connecting. It defaults to the iphone.

My dash kit will be here tomorrow, and I will be heading out to best buy to pick up the previous generation Nexus 7 tonight. I will attempt the install this weekend. I have been messing around with my current Asus Transformer Tablet to see if things would work the way I want them to and so far so good, so here goes....
