Dang CoreyMS, your install is so clean and looks like it came that way from the factory.

I want to do this so bad. The screen is the only option I wish I had got that I didn't. I like this table idea a lot better than just a double din. Way more capabilities!

I wish they would just make kits that already have the trim specific finish. Mine is a FX2 so it has that matrix looking pattern on gloss black. I don't want to loose that, my OCD won't let me. LOL

I guess I could just have it dipped, I'm sure somebody has that pattern loaded.

So from reading through this 28pg thread it looks like the Soche kit with a 7" galaxy or nexus tablet is the easiest, best fit option???

Thanks to all of you in here that took the time to post all of your experiences for an ignoramus like myself.

Jelly bean has a cool features like google now, for example, if i'm on my desktop/laptop computer and i google the location of a restaurant or bar or w/e , a couple mins later it will be in the "places" to travel to section of google its kinda a cool feature. you get there by holding the Android home button, other than that most of the other features don't effect it much for being a built in tablet. I use it with my phone and just started using it with the tablet.

I just got back from a 26hr road trip, and i was able to stream netflix tv shows, which was great, i wasn't watching them as i was driving, only listening to them, but its a nice change up from music.

This thread has exploded since I last checked it. I have some reading to do as I'm sure more awesome ideas have been found. Just ordered a Google Nexus 7 and a 2.1 amp charger. Going to ask a local audio shop to get me a scosche dash kit today.

While your there get a piece of abs plastic. Any good stereo shop should have some. I used it to space up between the tablet and AC module, cut two pieces and hot glued it together. Also, the piece I used in front of the tablet was just some spare plastic that was shiny so it matched how the tablet looks around the screen. If they don't have any I bet they have a piece that belongs with some of the double dins like that laying around.

This sounds great! I would like to see pics of your tablet setup as well, I'm torn between the Xyboard, Nexus, and Galaxy Tab 2 at the moment.

I sent him a PM. He's supposed to post a pic up sometime today. Just so you know, he has it behind the Metra kit. I am waiting to see what it looks like as well. I have the Scosche kit, but will have to get it dipped to match my Lariat wood grain. Metra now offers their kits already dipped to match according to my audio guy here. I know for sure the tab 2 7 inch fits perfect, as I put my son's behind my scosche kit. Look further back in this thread for those pics.

According to my audio shop, Metra now offers their kits in trim specific finishes. I want to say he said they have 12 or 13 options. Apparently they bought the equipment to dip their kits. I think I am going to order one to match my Lariat's wg this Friday. Was hoping to see a pic of the xyboard 8.2 behind the Metra kit before I ordered it, though.

I've owned both the nexus and the tab2... I vote nexus hands down. No idea what the xyboard is. My .02$
