can i go lower than 3.73, and keep the locker?

my "old" truck was the same setup (almost the exact same truck), but with 3.73 gears and the e-locker

the 3.73 geared truck was a rocket compared to the 3.31's, especially off the line.

*backstory: "old" truck got bought back after about 3 months, and the dealer had it more than i did.

As soon as this thing is payed off, its getting some kind of lift and some bigger tires. Nothing crazy, probably just somewhere around 33" tires. but that wont happen until its re-geared. Made that mistake a few times in the past...

And yes, I will be lifting a 2wd. Again. A little more ground clearance, combined with the locker, works best for what i do with the truck.

Great to know, thank you to you both.

when i get home (to a faster 'net connection) i'll search through your posts to see what tire sizes you went to, and how happy you are with the results.

may have a few more questions after that....

I used Oem. The only other option I would have considered was Yukon.

So, does the oem have to have the e-locker too?

It's the same gear elocker or not. Make sure you get the right year though. 2011-14 are different than the earlier years.
