Default Thoughts on this truck please

http://www.antwerpenvw.com/used-Balt...FW1ET0DKF62332

I had my heart set on a new F150 (15 Lariat, specked VERY similiar to this used one), but seems i can get this for almost $20,000 LESS....may be a Great truck for a couple years and I'll jump into a new one down the road.

Any thoughts/opinions on this truck? Any issues with 13 ecoboosts? Anything to look out for other than the obvious, pulling a carfax, etc?

Thanks!

Looks like a good truck. The ecoboosts are known for their shudder issue. Water can build up in the intercooler and when you give it a hard throttle, that water gets sucked up into the motor.

You can drill a small hole in the intercooler to allow water to drain out. Its a common fix for us ecoboost owners.

I would also look at getting a extended warranty. Never know what will pop up problem wise.

Side note, unrelated to this truck, but since you're in the area I say check out Bob Davidson on Joppa Road by Perring Parkway. They have awesome prices and they are honest people. Only good vehicle shopping experience I have ever had! Best of luck truck shopping!

wow quite the drive! But yeah, if you end up talking to Sam (Irish accent) he is who I worked with, super nice guy, not in any way pushy. Even stayed late to let me test drive a bunch of their trucks. Our area sucks when it comes to Ford dealers, Koons and Al Packer's are just terrible people so I kept having to go to other dealers like Jerry's Chevrolet across the street, I actually went there first and because of the crappy experience I walked across the street and found my favorite dealer ever. I didn't even know about Bob Davidson Ford until then lol

I opted for a 2014 vs a 2015 and have never had regrets. I love the previous body style look and saved some cash. My pops got a loaded Lariat 2015 and there is nothing about the new ones that make me long for it.

Yeah, it is...we are in Northern AA, wife grew up in Balt County and keep going to the church we got married in, her dad plays in the band there, and I REALLY like the new priest. I agree, Al Packer has been shady, they are a volume dealer. Guess I'm waiting for the I can't pass this up deal....

only bad thing i see its a VW dealer, i would rather have a used car from a ford dealer so i get the used car warrenty from FORD rather than secondary market.
