I'm twenty three. Had a 98 ranger for a year and then a 93 Toyota for four years. Saved up working everyday and bought my 2011 f150 which has always been my dream truck. It was either a Tacoma or an f150. I'm so glad I went for the truck I have always wanted since I was ten I think. Either way go back and forth to work I usually got 18.5 mpg but because of this thread I knew to go to the dealer and get an update to the PCM. I now get close to 20.5 in the same trips. Everyday I'm so happy to hop in it and drive I just wanted to share I love this truck I may just rub the paint off it washing it every sunny weekend. Lol now if I could only afford to lift it 6 inches and on 35's would make it perfect.

Congrats on the truck! I know how you feel man I'm 23 and went from a 1995 explorer to my 2009 FX4 3 years ago! What a difference! Post some pics when you get a chance!!

I'm 26 wanted a truck back in 06 but my wife said she couldn't drive one So I ended up getting a rt charger.But it worked out I just got my 12 fx4 and love it.guess it worked out congrats on yours

How did you update the PCM in your truck? What exactly is that and what does it do?

Congrats on the truck! What exactly is the PCM. I have a 2011 5.0 SCREW and I am only getting 15.7 MPG, but its really fun to drive and I take short trips in it. Getting a Pershing bed cover this weekend to Dee if it helps on MPG's. Congrats again!
