Lightbulb Gas Difference between 3.31 and 3.73 Gear Ratio

I am going to buy a F 150 in the morning and am looking at two models.
I am not sure if there is a big gas difference between the two. One has a 3.31 gear ratio and the other has the 3.73.

I pull a camper that weighs approx. 6500 about 10 times a year for weekend getaways, but mostly the vehicle will be used for travel and work purposes.

Can someone give me any advice on if there is a major difference between the two when it comes to gas use when using for light travel and pulling purposes?

Thanks

3.73 all the way. regardless of anything. F150 + any engine + 3.73 = bad ***!

EBs like to push against taller gears.

Too bad you can't get the 3:55's. Nice compromise......

The 3.31's will have no problem with that weight and net you about .5-.75 mpg better in non towing situations. 3.73's will offer a little better acceleration while towing or empty.

From experience, there won't be much difference in fuel economy unless you log a ton of highway miles. You may lose 1-1.5mpg highway with the shorter gears, but you have more mechanical advantage from a standstill, so you're usually in the throttle less. In the end, it usually ends up evening out for everyday driving.

My understanding from people who are into the sort of thing is that the 3.55 accelerates quicker than the 3.73.

That would seem to go against common sense.
