What do you guys think?

I think that was a fantastic idea. As long as you don't wear sunglasses. lol

Great idea, Flixden! I'd hate to lose a sunglasses spot, myself, lol.. but that works pretty good and solves the issue of someone breaking in and getting your opener. I do the same thing (leave my house door in garage unlocked).

Thanks! There is another one of those compartments forward, and my wife has her sunglasses with her all the time.
I got the idea when I stopped at HD to get my extra key cut, and looked at garage door remotes. I was actually looking for a mini keychain remote when I saw this keypad, and I thought I'll give it a try. It fits right into that sunglasses compartment and lights up at night when pressing a key.

This is just what I need to know. I had hoped there was a setting to make homelink only work with a key in the ignition. Now my security is lock truck, arm home alarm, hopefully the home alarm is enough, then glock in safe next to bed.

Kinda off the subject but Ford's homelink sucks. My wifes Toyota will open the garage from 1/4 mile away. Mine I practically have to be parked directly in front of the thing
