FYI: NO XL 4x2 ECOBOOST w. max tow
The software programme that allows you to build and price a F150 has a glitch that can be upsetting.
A salesperson or yourself can enter a 2011, XL, F150,EB, 4x2 and choose the EB engine along with max. towing package and the things that you need to pull 11,300 lbs. like limited slip differential 3.73. But when the dealer or sales manager uses a different FORD software programme to order the actual truck , that option of 2011,F150,EB, Max towing package 4x2 etc... will not enter. The truck cannot be made. BUt an xl can be made if it has an 8 ft. box.
I wonder why?
When all that is said and done we are now driving an 8 foot box. Disappointing considering parking, city use, etc.. but we needed the towing capacity to pull a 9000 lb. trailer.
