Default HID + switchback problems

I installed the hid kit and when I powered them up as a test fit and lay out the harness on the battery side the park light switchback started smoking and had a electronic fire smell. Any one have any idea what happen? I have resistors on the switchbacks. The kit came with anti flicker and cancelation harness but they say if u don't have day run lights you don't need them. Is it I didn't use the $130 vled switchback kit n the ones I got are an amazon 50/50 shot of them working bulbs?(China junk).they are the Samsung ones for $30, They lasted 1 week and as I tested kit it went bad. Fluk thing with junk bulbs or do I have a problem? The hid kit has been for 3 days now with stock 3157 amber in and all works great. I have amazon sending me replacement bulbs but I'm scared to reinstall them. I don't need them damaging my headlights by melting the housing. Unfortunately I am on a slight budget. If I were on a unlimited budget I would of just did OEM HID stock ones. At that point I'll never get my supercharger. Thanks for any advice.

I ran the cheaper ebay switchbacks and tap splices on my last truck without issues. I wasn't a big fan of splicing into the factory wiring though. Ended up doing the v leds this round and they are well worth the money. I had an issue with them firing but added their harness they just came out with and have had zero issues with them.
