Default FX4, XLT, Lariat prices - XLT Leather? Ruby & Blue Jeans finish?

Hey guys... I stepped away for a just a few months and wonder why in the world I let me truck go.

I'm looking at '12's & '13's used as well as new with the deep discounts. I've had both the Eco and 5.0 and at this point I'm ready to flip a coin to resolve that.
However I'm curious about a few other things.
1) 2013 vs 2014 pricing? It sounds like on an FX4 the difference in the two years is just $2k-$3k? Anyone else shopped the two?
2) XLT Leather with heat or no heat?? I was set on an FX4 or Lariat I'm curious if the XLT have the same leather seats and if they are heated? I seen after hours last night a couple loaded up XLT's w/ leather and a few other goodies I like.
3) I was pretty much set on another Sterling, white or silver but love the Ruby sitting on the lot.... also like the Blue Jeans but how are both of these for showing swirls and scratches? I'm betting the Blue isn't too far from black?? How's the Ruby Red?

Thanks!

Any dark color is going to show swirls and scratches. The trick is to avoid those with proper washing technique. DO NOT let the dealer prep your truck and NEVER use car washes that touch your vehicle. I love my ruby red XLT but it is going to take more care and maintenance than a white or silver trucktruck

I can't really chime in with regards of pricing but I can tell you that 2014 XLT's with OEM leather don't have seat heaters. And colour wise, I'd go silver but I'm a bit biased

Silver is the only way to go IMO if you plan on keeping it along time!

My guess is you will not save much buyin 1-2 years old v new. You've bought these before so you know xlt is value leader and trim levels up from there are not as value oriented but some love the little creature comforts ( from a guy with a lariat).

I have owned black coloured vehicles for the past 10 years and when I bought my truck I bought the Blue Jean....it looks cleaner for at lot longer then the black and in fact looks cleaner then most colours...

I had not washed the truck for over a week and the roads were horrible...snow, sand, slush etc...love my truck! I may also be bias!

Agreed.....I never take my Vehicles to car washes that touch them.....and once a year I get them clean by a pro....no swirl marks. I told my dealership that I would wash the truck outside my self for this exact reason..I took it to a pro who claybared it and waxed it....well worth the $400 I paid.

Thankfully I didn't have the choice between the Ruby Red, and Blue Jeans when I bought my Plat. as it would have made my choice more difficult. I would think the blue would show a little more dirt than the Ruby, but I would say if you can decide buy the one you like best. The last thing you want is to look back, and say I wish. As @king nothing said, take care of washing the truck yourself and you shouldn't have any problems with swirls etc. Good luck on your decision.

When my dealer called to tell me my truck was there the salesman called me and said "your truck is here, I just have to get it washed and fueled and you can come pick it up". He was very confused when I told him not to let them touch it, just fuel it and I will take it as it is
