Thanks for the replies. I want a silver truck, so it sounds like no matter what I would have to so something aftermarket to make them match.

Can you buy ptm flares from ford or no?

Default Big Stripe...

....comes off easily with a little help from a hair dryer or after sitting in the sun for a while....

....It will be the first thing I do on my new 2013 (ETA: 10/22)

Has anyone done this with that stripe? I have done this on other vehicles but the stripes were much smaller. I would hate to pull paint off of a brand new truck! I would think there would be little chance of this happening on a brand new truck though. Wonder if I could get the dealer to do it..

Default No issue.....

Lots of other posts about peeling off the stripe.

FX4 sticker comes off easily, too.

EcoBoost badge, too, with either a little heat or a piece of fishing line.

Take yours off and take them to a painter. It will take 2 days or so. Not a big deal

No, the ford flares come primed, not painted.

I found some on a Craigslist link posted on this forum in some thread. Guy was in Texas, shipped them to Va no problem, perfect match.
