your absolutely right, I have tried all the suggestions on this forum and adams forum and NONE of them work. You might think there coming off but as you clean window you can still see the water spots etched into the glass. I am convinced that there is ZERO products or solutions that will return your Automotive glass to its original shine w/o spots. I am just gonna do the same, clean the glass and add some rain X to help with visability. Excuse me for ranting but once again companies advertise a product and its doesn't even come close to working.. BTW the last failed attempt was with the 0000 steel wool and vinegar spray to keep glass wet and didn't do a darn thing. Darn shame there is no product out there that can actually do what it claims.

Here is a stupid suggestion! Have you thought about trying that spot rinse stuff they use in dishwasher?? I have no idea if it will work or not but I had stains spots on my glasses that I couldn't scrub off no matter what I tried and a girlfriend said that I didn't use a spot rinse in my dishwasher! I said so what? she said try it, I laughed but went and got some, put the worse of all my glasses in and I couldn't believe after only one time washing them they looked brand new??? I have no idea what the heck is in that stuff but it works and think about it,,, just with water spraying on them not sitting there scrubbing them?? It might work but I would suggest just to make sure it doesn't get on anything else. I don't have any now to look at the direction to see what warning they may have.
I have a problem on the inside... I have no idea other than off gassing what the heck gets on the inside as I don't smoke,, but I can spray windex on it and let is sit and re-spray and clean and still that damn stuff is still there. I may look at trying that spot rinse myself... any thoughts?

another thought! many have said if it isn't etched badly! Maybe you need to stop your search for a spot remover and look at an etched glass remover?? I would think there must be a product for restoring antique glass and such...

I'm still positive a light compound and a PC polisher will get what you have out. Glass is harder than clear coat, but that same process is used time and time again to remove etching and water spots from painted surfaces.

Exactly. Which is why I don't get why steel wool wouldn't fix it.
Even a DA with polish should more than easily take them off. Idk how it wouldn't.
Unless its acid rain etched (which I've never seen) or it isn't water spots (idk what it could be)

you know what guys maybe it is in-between the glass and the laminate! That could be a defective windshield and not the only one I have ever ran in to. If you can go to a windshield shop they may be able to help you, If it is defective the dealer will have to replace it.

I used the back right door window (crew cab) as my guinea pig. I have used all the products on this 1 window and nothing has worked. NOTHING has removed these water spots. The window looks better than before, hard not to with all the trying to get spots off but soon as sun hits window or re-wet the window you see the spot marks, so I have to take these spots are now part of the window. Just a shame that the various auto experts who give advice (other forums) and the so called Auto Detail companies pedal products (like snakeoil) and claim it removes hard water spots and it doesn't. When you confront them they don't give you advice they immediately look to refund your money,, as if to admit it doesn't work and are more than happy to give you the money,, they figure most people don't ask and I no longer care to use there Car Detail products anymore..

Might be worth a try. I actually bought a kit a couple years ago for my previous truck, but traded that truck in on the F-150 before I had a chance to use it.

Well I was going to suggest Magic Glass detailer. But after reading all of the other recommendations, I doubt just my little spray detailer will do you any good.
It's never not worked on anything glass related, but then again it's usually just dirt, streaks, water spots, etc. Your issue sounds like a water spot from hell.
