Default Front Spacers/Rear Blocks vs. Springs/Shocks

I want to put a 2-2.5 inch lift on my truck, nothing outrageous. I'm thinking of going cheaper and just doing front spacers/rear blocks but I want to make sure it's good quality. I had front spacers on my old F150 ('09 FX4) and had rubbing when I hit a dip in the road and turning in reverse so I'm iffy on it.
I'd like y'all to weigh in our your thoughts/suggestions/high quality brands.

$200 rough country kit? spacers, blocks and shocks. If you plan to do some major off roading, probably some other brands. F150lifts.com has an ultimate kit for ~$1200. But you can also get some actual 4 inch kits around that price.

I'm wanted the same thing and am going with Bilstein 5100's all around and replacing the stock 1.25" rear block with a 3" to maintain some rake. Just thought the spacers were too cheap of a mod with no affect on ride/handling quality and have not heard a bad thing about Bilstein shocks. The fronts are adjustable with 4 height settings up to 2.5". Here is an article comparing spacers to the 5100's
