Default Front License Plate Bracket - I can't decide.... front vs center (2013 V8)

Hey everyone,

2013 5.0 V8
I'm about to move to a state that requires a front plate. I can't decide if I want to get the center or side plate bracket.

What do you have? What do you prefer?

Here's some pics of both:

I think the center looks dumb. Too much going on with the bread loafs on each side.

IMO, the plate looks more balanced on center. IIRC, FoMoCo chose driver side for enhanced cooling airflow when equipped with 3.5EB. No front plate required in AZ but I bought a center bracket to mount my SAR plate. Cost was prox $16 shipped from Ford dealer on eBay. Side mount brackets are more $$...

I like the look of it being in the center.
I hate the fact, I have to have one at all!
Aside from the license plate readers on the cruisers.
Which I'm completely opposed to. What happened to probable cause?
I don't know who could read one coming at you, and isn't it usually after the offense, that they're trying to read your rear plate.
Sorry...

It looks too busy to me too.

I would prefer no front plate, but I have to run one in this state. I don't mind the side mount.

So far it seems to be about an even split on what folks prefer.

I've got a few weeks yet before I have to decide - I'll sleep on it for now.

For info:
  • The part # for the LH (driver) bracket is BL3Z-17E811-AA (approximately $50)
  • If you want the middle mounting plate bracket, the part number you need is # 9L3Z-17A385-A (approximately $15)

Before I put the hidden winch mount on I liked the center mount as shown above in the first pic, that's my truck LOL. The winch mount front bracket includes holes to mount the tag directly below it but the car wash ate it so I left it off.
