FX2 to FX4 Upgrade!
Well folks haven't been around much, mainly because hanging around here seeing all the awesome trucks and mods will pretty much make me go broke lol
Well I've wanted a 4WD for a long time and finally got one! 2 weeks ago I traded my 12' FX2 in on a new '13 loaded FX4. I absolutely love this thing! Got the graphics package, ecoboost, red trimmed seats, the works. Never thought I'd spend $50 on a truck till I took this out for a drive. Then of course after a couple quick mods and less than a week of ownership I damn near sunk it in a mud hole. Well I did sink it up to about mid door, did get the carpets wet but nothing more. Took forever to get it cleaned.
Anyway pics and mods. I put 305/55/20 BFG All Terrains on last week, did the 2" level kit up front and had a custom built box with 2 10" Kenwoods and 500W's of JL Audio power to go along with it. Just ordered the MBRP exhaust and I'm gonna get a programmer and tune from Livernois. They tuned my Ecoboost SHO and it was a monster so this one will get done as well.
Here's some pics!
The day I bought it:

This was the outgoing 2012 FX2. Nice truck but the SCAB doors just get annoying after awhile. The new one has all the upgrades while the old one wasn't exactly stripped but nowhere near the new SCREW.
I will say the FX2 5.0 got great gas mileage though. I'm gonna miss that. With the new tires on the FX4 it averages about 13.7 no matter what you do. The FX2 did 18.1 running 80mph which was great.

Nice looking trucks...new and old! Looks like you were sunk up to the roofline instead of mid-door! LOL. I'd tell you to enjoy the new ride, but it looks like you already are!

Looks like you need mud flaps....
1) For the sub did your truck have factory sub? If so did you just use those taps?
2) How are those tires on the road? I am looking at new tires but don't want the road noise

Thanks guys. Yes I have the Sony system so factory sub. I believe they tapped those to hook up the new ones.
The tires are awesome! Virtually no road noise! Wear like iron and handle really well both on and off road, very good in the rain or cruising at 80mph on the interstate. Truck still rides like a caddy LOL. That was a big deal was get the looks, performance, ride and quietness but retain stock manners. These fit perfectly. $1900 installed kinda hurt but should last 40-50k miles. So it's all good.

0.9% is for suckers!
rides like a caddy? you put a 10 ply BFG 20" on it. gotta be a rougher ride over the OEM Scorpions for sure.
I love the BFGs (I had em on the Raptor), but man, a 10 ply on a 20" rim has to rattle your nerves a bit.
