very tight heim joints, I was worried about these as my biggest concern and what stopped me from going with Icon was all the reports of rattles and them being "loud shocks". thankfully all 4 of my shocks are dead silent. No noise changes from stock except the slight howl from new tires.

installed all myself. Rears were easy if you have jack stands to take preload off of springs. Front end was 6 hr install by myself with a lot of hammer swinging, cussing, praying and prying. It was a tough install and would be worth having someone else do I think but I'm glad I did it and know everything is correct and like I want it.

All right, now the info. #1 This is a DD and my family hauler and a trailer tower with only occasional fire/back road and across a pasture use. So I wanted this build to have better suspension and be leveled out but nothing too crazy. My wife is only 5'1" so I wanted her to still be able to get in and out too haha! The truck is also a platinum so I wanted to keep it kind of classy and sophisticated but just more brawny and capable.
I deliberated forever trying to decide on what shocks to use and a big internal debate for me was digressive vs progressive valving... I took a chance on the Fox from what I've read that progressive is only good for racing because it's sloppy and rolls into corners but hard with big bumps to keep from bottoming out... I have to tell anyone looking at shocks that this is BS. It may be the theory of it but I bought these expecting to send them back to fox for revolve and I am not doing that because the ride is AMAZING! The roll into corners is gone, the bounce after square bumps is gone, I don't know enough about suspension to tell you why but the truck feels so much more solid and stable BUT the ride is Cadillac kind of smooth! I really do love it. It even seems to steer sharper. That may be from heim joints, valving or something else, but I noticed it before i got new tires and after new tires it was even more pronounced I'm guessing from less sidewall flex.
I installed the rear shocks first and this made a HUGE difference in handling on it's own, I would say more so than the front coil overs did. WAY less body roll in corners and took the bounce out of square bumps. The next day did the coil overs and it was a noticeable change but I wouldn't say it was as big of a change as the rear shocks made. I also don't think the stock suspension would have faired well with these way heavier tires.
New tires on and everything rides exactly as I want it. The ride transformation truly is incredible! The TG's don't howl although they have the deepest most aggressive tread I've seen on a AT tire but they still don't look like I was trying to stick mudders on a $50,000 truck. Everyone knows I'm not taking this truck swamping haha!
Anyway I really did do a ton of research on tire selection and suspension setup. The only thing I really knew from the get go was I wanted to keep my stock wheels.
Hope you guys like it and if y'all have any questions feel free.
But I have to say that I HIGHLY recommend these fox 2.0 shocks! If you are staying on road, driving rough back roads or going off road anything short of desert racing or jumping I think these shocks are probably up to the task and they really do ride wonderfully!

first pic with new Nitto LT305/55R20 Terra Grapplers installed, NTB only put 35 psi in and they were kind of squishy in the sidewall at this point. I've since got my alignment done and have 42psi front and 40 rear and I think that may be perfect for DD tire wear.

Got some good front end lift, I know the pics aren't great. It was a monsoon in Houston on Memorial Day

Here's a shot of the clearance since the LT TG's are approx 33.1"x12.60". You truly cannot go bigger with stock wheels, which I wanted to keep because I really like the stock platinum wheels and although I wanted level and more aggressive tires I really wanted to stay somewhat classy since it is a platinum so I still wanted it functional for an around the town runner for the family and I think I nailed what I wanted.

notice in these pics the axle and tie rod ends aren't really at any crazy angles that I think will cause too much wear. I left the coil overs exactly as shipped from factory. Never did get to measure. I think it was 37.5" from ground to front fender before. I'll measure my after when I can

Good review! Might have to research these more.

So you'd say the nauseating floatiness is gone out of the ride? That's what I hate most about stock, is how wallowy and tipsy it is over uneven pavement. I like a tighter, more responsive ride but I don't like feeling every crack in the road either.

Thanks for the compliments y'all, and yes Hardcore, that's exactly how I'd describe it. No more wallowing and rolling in corners and where they are doing concrete road construction next to my place there are very Sharp 1-2" square corner bumps that were jarring with the stock stuff with 3-4 small bounces or oscillations after the bump. These are little more than a noise now, you feel tne bump with the noise but it's not as violent before and as soon as you are over it the chassis is settled and no wallow and bounce afterward.
I wish I would have shot a video because I was scared of how different the ride was going to be when I could easily compress the rear shocks to the stop by hand and compressing the fox stuff half stroke took all of my body weight and strength and I thought it was going to break my wrist! But it turned out phenomenol!
I haven't jumped any curbs with it or hit speed bumps at 50 mph so I can't vouch for the big end of bumps but all the expansion joints and highway reflectors that I could feel on I45 in Houston at highway speeds now are a noise and that is it. I can't feel any of them anymore.

I have these waiting at home. Your truck looks perfectly level in that last picture. Did you keep the stock block on the rear or move up to another size?

I have a feeling you're going to love them Leifels! And yes I kept the stock block. Depending on how it looks with trailer I may go with the next biggest block I can get but def not a 3". I think it'd look good with a 3" block if I went with 35x12.50's but I didn't want to go that big for mileage and for towing power. I think with the shape of the wheel well a 33" tire matches perfect.
