Default Four wheel drive mod

I posted a thread a while ago asking for ideas on what to do with the wasted space on the dashboard filled with the useless coin holder, on the 2 wheel drive trucks. Some of the wisecrackers on the board, all 4x4 owners, suggested that the best use for this space was for the 4x4 control switch. So I decided to mod my two wheel drive truck into a four wheel drive. I started by wasting $26 at Tasco for the new switch.
Here's the offending part:

The coin holder pulls right out; the 4x4 wiring harness is attached to the back.

Move the wiring harness to the 4x4 switch.

Insert the 4x4 switch into the dashboard.

The switch illuminates when the lights are turned on.

Total time spent is less than five minutes and total cost about $26 to turn a 4x2 truck into a 4x4.

I'm not really into badges and decals, but I'm thinking now, to properly complete the conversion, that I need to get two 4x4 decals to stick on the bed. Maybe one of you unstickered 4x4 owners can send me yours.

Finally, I think this is a very innovative and unique mod. This should be recognized by the moderator, and the mod added to the "How to Section" for the benefit of all the 4x2 owners who secretly want to go 4-wheeling.

'10s switched to a brake controller like that and the display now shows up on the dash, just like how the '08 SDs went that route in '09.

I just discovered it doesn't work. I think I just need locking hubs for the front wheels, and I'll be good to go.

Maybe he just has one hell of a sense of humor! Much more special than the guy trying to say the XL was the best of all the trim levels by default and was prepared to turn it into an FX4 with some stickers.
