Default Found this in the driveway today...

While towel drying the beast after a bath I saw this rubber bushing thing laying on the driveway. When I picked it up and examined it closely, the only thought was this must have come off something but didn't know what. Usually if I don't know what it is I throw it away. But SOMETHING told me don't throw it away just yet so I put it in the garage for later.

Later tonight after returning home from dinner, out of the blue an image came to my head about wiping down the door jams I saw something on the inside of the doors similar to the piece I picked up on the driveway. Let's go get the flashlight and check the doors. And look at what I saw.

I didn't realize these things came off so easy. I'm just glad I didn't throw it away like I usually do.

Hopefully this has not happened to you!

I had one pop off on my previous vehicle. You would think they would stay on a bit better.....

I suppose you could put a dab of silicone sealant on the end, then re-install. That way there is less risk of losing your rubber thingy...

That is the door drain-plug! You just let all your door fluid out! That stuff is not cheap and is even harder to find! Good luck with that!

My son has a new Tacoma and these thing will fall off it if you look at them wrong. Also has little ones in fuel door and cannot keep them on. Finally had to glue them

You can just replenish it from the blinker fluid tank. Make sure to use synthetic though.
