So using Forscan to enable DRLs to the front turn lamps will cause them to power on anytime the truck leaves park, regardless of headlight **** position, right?

Can anyone confirm whether this sends voltage to the same wire as when you turn on your regular running lights/headlights or does it send a steady voltage to the turn signal wire (the one that typically flashes voltage whenever your turn signal is active)?

DRL enabled turns on the chosen lights when the gear shift is in any position other than park.

Front Turn lights selection uses the front turn signal, not the parking light.

Forscan also allows the use of the fog lights as DRL. This is not available in Ford IDS.

Basically a laptop with wifi or Bluetooth and a cheap ELM 327 dongle, there are other devices. See this thread that's appropriate for your year vehicle.

Hey Everyone! I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone out there has any pointers on how to turn on the temp and compass display the center dash info center via Forscan. I need to know where they're located and what values to input. I'm having trouble making heads or tales of this stuff. If it helps I have a 2009 F150 STX 4X4 4.6L 3V with Sync.
Thanks!

Unfortunately Your options are extremely limited due to the fact your truck does not have a body control module, (BCM) it has a generic electronic module (GEM)

BCM equipped trucks start at 2011.

Thanks for the reply. I'm 99.9% sure that I have a BCM. I seen while logged onto Forscan. So what would you say my options are? My brother in law has a 2010 with these features on his info center.

It's that .1% that gets you, you do not have a BCM this I know for a fact, Ford didn't start using them until m/y 2011. The GEM does have some programmable features but not very much.

So is there any kind of spreadsheets or other documents that would tell me what hex values to input for any features that might be available for my truck?

We are all experimenting with the program so far, no one that I know has tried anything with a GEM equipped truck, perhaps you could expand upon the research.
